The 7^th Annual Fox84 Initiative 5K Fun Run
On Saturday, May 06, 2023, The Fox84 Initiative for Boys will host its 7th Annual Fox84 Initiative 5K FunRun/Walk. This fundraising event is designed to raise money to take young men of Marion County on an exploration trip. We believe that these annual exploration trips will inspire initiative and prove to be an invaluable contribution to their personal development.

ABOUT THE RACE:
This Race is RAIN or SHINE:
The 7th Annual Fox84 Initiative 5K fun run/walk will take participants on a scenic route through Marion, South Carolina. The race will start at Marion High School/ Green Street. Participants will proceed down Green Street, passing the National Guard Armory and continuing onto Gurley Street, passing Johnakin Middle School and Grice's Recreation Center. Runners then turn left onto Liberty Street, bypassing several iconic landmarks and buildings. Runners will then turn left onto Bobby L. Davis Boulevard, proceed past St. John's Church, and turn left on Martin Luther King Blvd. As participants bypass the Door of Hope Christian Church, turning right onto Main Street for 200 yards, the runners will turn onto Green Street and end back in front of Marion High School for the finish.

The fun run is designed as a day of fun and fitness for the whole family. It attracts more than 200 runners from North & South Carolina and as far away as Canada each year. Still, it is also attended by thousands of family members, friends, and community supporters who look forward to it as a fun and exciting community gathering.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION:
Online Registration is open until race morning.
Bib and t-shirt pick-up will be on race day between 7:30 and 8:45 am.
Same-Day Registration is $35.00 (T-shirt sizes can not be guaranteed on race day)

PRE-PACKET-PICKUP:
If possible, we strongly encourage all participants to pick up their race packets during pre-Packet Pick-Up.

RACE T-SHIRTS:
This year's runner shirt will be made of a soft cotton tech mater. We recommend sizing up if you prefer a loose fit or are in between sizes. Shirts are guaranteed for those pre-registered by April 29, 2023. If you want to switch your shirt size, a shirt will be offered on race day (Saturday, May 6, 2023, 7:30 AM) while supplies last.

SWAG BAG & FINISHER MEDALS:
All participants will receive an official Fox84 Initiative 5K Fun Run T-Shirt, a 2023 5K Finisher Medal, & Swag Bag to commemorate a job well done!

EVENT SPECIAL NOTES:
Runners enjoy additional benefits, including pre-race stretches and warm-ups led by professional fitness staff, precision race recording, free tee-shirts, and other great giveaways; Medals for the top three winners in each age category; and trophies for the overall male and female winners.

Additional awards will include: The Group (Greek organization, fraternal organization, social group, or club) that has the most registered participants will receive a $100 donation to that organization and a 1st place trophy.
